Merlin Pinto - Kann die Ölwanne bei eingebautem Motor entfernt werden?

Hallo,

Ich frage mich, ob es möglich ist, die normale Pinto-Ölwanne bei eingebautem Motor auszubauen. Weiß jemand Bescheid?

Hallo,

uih, das Thema kenne ich. Hab vor Jahren auch das Problem gehabt, weil ich mir die Ölwanne kaputtgefahren hatte.

Die Antwort ist NEIN!!! Der Ölrüssel ist zu lang, um die Ölwanne drunter weg zu bekommen. Es gibt zwar zwei Ölwannen, eine hohe und eine niedrige, aber auch bei der niedrigen ist es knapp aber trotzdem einfach zu eng. 

Das heißt: Kardanwelle abmontieren Getriebe abflanschen und dann das Getriebe so weit wie möglich nach hinten schieben, damit Du den Motor ohne Getriebe hochziehen kannst. Es reicht da ein kleines Stück, damit Du dann die Ölwanne abnehmen und ne neue montieren kannst.  Dichtfläche sauber machen ist dann aber überkopf alles andere als angenehm, weshalb ich empfehle den Motor dann gleich ganz raus zu heben und dann auf nem Motorständer etwas entspannter die Dichtung und die neue Ölwanne zu montieren.

The answer is NO!!! The oil spout is too long to get the oil pan out from underneath. There are two oil pans, a high one and a low one, but even with the low one it's close but still too tight. 

That means: remove the propshaft, remove the flange from the gearbox, and then push the gearbox back as far as possible so that you can lift the engine up without the gearbox. A small amount is enough so that you can then remove the oil pan and fit a new one. Cleaning the sealing surface overhead is anything but pleasant, which is why I recommend lifting the engine out completely and then fitting the gasket and the new oil pan on an engine stand in a more relaxed manner.

Mmm, hello – thanks. I was afraid that would be the answer, since I don't have the means to remove the entire engine, but it looks like I'll have to. I suspect my piston ring is broken. I have low compression on one cylinder and removed the cylinder head because I was so convinced it was a valve. But both that and the cylinder head look fine. However, I can insert a feeler gauge at different depths from the piston crown. Not good...

Das klingt wirklich nicht gut. 
Baue den Motor aus, dann sind alle darauf folgenden Arbeiten einfacher.  Evtl gibts Du den Motor auch einfach zu einem Experten um Ihn komplett instand zu setzen.

Indeed yes, if the engine is to come out then I will have it bored and new pistons by an engine reconditioner - I was hoping to have perhaps removed the sump and withdrawn at least the offending piston (because its still an assumption now the head is already off - I should have put some oil down the bores before removing the head and that would have shown the issue more clearly. Unfortunately thats not possible now so onwards and downwards - short block out.
